SimpleBrickArt is back with many new creations and a fresh web design!
Recent works are now registered under “Own creations”. Here you will find:
- Pure and easy models, like animals, interior or portraits of the Simpsons
- A category with abstract models and design
- and last but not least mosaics and pixel “art”
The building “philosophy” is as usual: only the most basic and common bricks are used. Also the intention of the website remains the same: apart from hosting my latest works, simplebrickart.com wants to disseminate knowledge on LEGO and its various possibilities, especially as an art medium.

Milhouse
Milhouse van Houten, Barts best friend due to geographical convenience. They are inseparable, but very different in many respects: Milhouse is very sensitive, clumsy and not the brightest. Bart often takes advantage of his loyality, thus leading them often into trouble. Milhouse is quite disliked by Homer who constantly forgets his name, and he is deeply in love with Lisa (unreturned).

Under the sea
This was actually a gift for a good friend of mine who is an expert on whales. These mammals are among the largest animals existing, the blue whale, in fact, is the largest animal on earth. As I have been told, the flukes of each whale are quite unique, thus being a very important characteristic of each individual. Especially in Norway, it is possible to observe them in their natural environment on whalesafaris.

Abe Simpson
Here comes Grampa Simpson, beloved member of the Simpsons family. He is well-known for his endless and senseless stories about the past, and he never refuses to support his family (and his son Homer) in a best possible way: “My Homer is not a communist. He may be a liar, a pig, an idiot, a communist, but he is NOT a porn star!”

Brachiosaurus
Old wine in new bottles or further development? The fourth movie of the Jurassic Parc series “Jurassic World” will problably be released in June 2015. See one of the best known and popular dinosaurs in simple LEGO art: the Brachiosaurus. This dinosaur is considered as one of the biggest terrestrial animals ever, but with an amazingly small head. Brachiosauruses were herbivores, and became known to a broader audience due to their appearance in the movie “Jurassic Park”.

Germany with LEGO bricks
Recent events have celebrated the fall of the Berlin Wall (25th anniversary) and the following unification of West and East Germany. Especially the divided capital Berlin has been exemplary for the division between east and west, and was a central scene during the Cold War. Symbolically important was – and still is – the Brandenburg Gate in the centre of Berlin. Find a imitation of the gate and a political map of the Federal Republic of Germany with simple LEGO bricks.
Hey-Diddly-Ho!
Simpsons and LEGO fans, here comes the most-loved neighbor of the Simpsons as LEGO portrait: Ned Flanders, the very religious, well-trained, and polite neighborino of the Simpsons. He is the owner of the Leftorium in Springfield, and never refuses to lend Homer his furnishings.

TETRIS
As some of you might have noticed already, there are plans making TETRIS a science fiction movie. Everyone, who grew up with a GameBoy knows it, and it was probably his or her first game. Unforgettable the concept, as well as the soundtrack. But how will the producer combine this concept with a full-length movie? We are curious about it!

The Simpsons…
I proudly present the most famous TV family in the world as LEGO portraits. Since 1989 are Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie enlightening us. Simpsons fans (and nerds) all over the world quote them in different languages. Here, one of the most legendary table conversations (who knows the episode?) :
Homer: Marge? Since I’m not talking to Lisa, would you please ask her to pass me the syrup?
Marge: Dear, please pass your father the syrup, Lisa.
Lisa: Bart, tell Dad I will only pass the syrup if it won’t be used on any meat product.
Bart: You dunkin’ your sausages in that syrup homeboy?
Homer: Marge, tell Bart I just want to drink a nice glass of syrup like I do every morning.
Marge: Tell him yourself, you’re ignoring Lisa, not Bart.
Homer: Bart, thank your mother for pointing that out.
Marge: Homer, you’re not not-talking to me and secondly I heard what you said.
Homer: Lisa, tell your mother to get off my case.
Bart: Uhhh, dad, Lisa’s the one you’re not talking to.
Homer: Bart, go to your room.
Lisa: Why don’t you just eat him, Dad?
Homer: I don’t need any serving suggestions from you! You barbeque-wrecking, know-nothing know-it-all!
Lisa: That’s IT! I can’t live in a house with this prehistoric carnivore. I am out of here!
[leaves and slams the door]
Homer: That’s it! Go to your room!

Old O’Donnell had a farm…
This series is inspired by the Irish countryside: here you see Farmer O’Donnell and his farmhouse with an apple tree. A sheep, a cow, and a duck keep company with him. Additionally, there is a LEGO-map, showing the island Ireland. The island is famous for its beautiful nature and breathtaking landscape, and worth a visit!
